In 1971 ..  a big deal at the time with lots of promotion and then buried.  Lots of sexism, but also a major event for women at the time.

A segment on CBC's As It Happens  12^th of September starting around the 43:45 mark.  It includes an interview with a Danish player.  After all these years, you can still hear the passion in her voice.
