If you've done any amount of flying and have had a window seat behind the wing, you've probably seen cloud-like objects form during takeoffs and landings. It turns out these condensation patterns form when humid clear air suddenly expands around parts of the aircraft dropping the pressure and temperature enough. NASA has a nice technical report on the subject. (largish pdf) Not terribly technical if you are of that bent, but there are many beautiful photos that anyone can enjoy.
