The history of science is often ignored when you are learning it - something of a mistake I think, as there is often drama and you get to see how the sausage was made.  So I was happy to learn astronomycast is going to be doing some biographies of great astronomers.  Yesterday I listened to one on Edwin Hubble (mp3) - a fascinating character who happened to make one of the most amazing discoveries of the 20^th century.

Astronomycast is aimed at anyone interested in astronomy and is particularly good for people dipping their toes into the idea of learning a bit on their own.  Subscribe in iTunes.  Recommended stuff!
