The history of science is often ignored when you are learning it - something of a mistake I think, as there is often drama and you get to see how the sausage was made. So I was happy to learn astronomycast is going to be doing some biographies of great astronomers. Yesterday I listened to one on Edwin Hubble (mp3) - a fascinating character who happened to make one of the most amazing discoveries of the 20th century.
Astronomycast is aimed at anyone interested in astronomy and is particularly good for people dipping their toes into the idea of learning a bit on their own. Subscribe in iTunes. Recommended stuff!
