My concern is that a very secular society (at least in the area I grew up) meant that too many kids were completely unfamiliar with the Bible stories and analogies that are such a large part of our culture. Bible can be taught as literature and from a multifaith perspective. I suppose the real controversy will start though when a Muslim student sues the school for not having a class on the Quran.

let more of the creation stories and morality structures be taught. they need to be compared and contrasted.

christianity has its stories and messages, but is only a small piece of what the human mind has created.

i doubt that most people are capable of sorting through the stories of others though. people know that their story is the truth. these things need to be taught in such a way that brainwashing doesn't happen.
