Target
MPS facility at BNL
The target for the experiment. High energy protons enter in a beam pipe from the right and strike a proton rich target (liquid hydrogen) in the white cryostat. A variety of events are possible and we trigger on some interesting candidates.
The beam pipes have a central axis 2 meters up and there is dangerous ionizing radiation leakage in the area during operation, so precautions much be taken.
