On the 26th of November InSight will land on Mars. For understanding the solar system robotic spacecraft win hands down over manned flights. Manned spaceflight is still cool and possibly even justifiable, but it generally isn't science. In my mind some of the most impressive work has been the inspiration Chris Hadfield has given to million of children. That may be enough to justify the price. I'm not a fan of flying Teslas, but that's another story.
