outsizes influence from 1.7% of the popution

About 1.7% of American adults are NRA members - amazing that such a tiny group has such enormous political clout...

If they want to be constitutionally accurate perhaps "gun" should be defined in the historical context.  Black powder muzzle loaders with questionable accuracy.

I'm biased - my uncle JC was murdered with  a gun.
