At the moment I'm writing there have been a minium of 1104 deaths caused by firearms in the US since the Newtown shootings.
The Slate tabulation is an underestimate as it ignores many suicides and a few other incidents.
In a couple of months it will pass the death toll for 9/11/... Imagine the outrage and pure fear if 1/10th that number o terrorist caused deaths had taken place in the same period.....
