i would be perfectly satisfied if it turned out that the universe did indeed have a purpose, and that all of its assorted horrors, joys, and (for the most part) sitting around for millions of years doing a whole mess of nothing turned out to be an exquisitely-designed process whose output was Neil deGrasse Tyson.
