risks, hazards and resilience

All important as we are forced to deal with climate change (even though the polititicans in the US mostly chose to ignore it these days).  An interesting blog from an institute in the UK focused on these studies.  THey reason for going there (hat tip to Andy for the suggestion) was a talk on risk perception by Paul Slovic (60 minute audio) - a nice introduction for those unfamiliar with these studies.
