green electricity in san francisco

San Francisco considers an alernative to the plans of the dominant utility ...  it will be interesting to see if this flies and if enough people stay with it considering it will cost an average of about $9 a month more.  I suspect there are few places other than San Francisco where this might work - perhaps Portland...
