This post comments on a new paper that looks at the impact of Westernized fast food on the incidence of heart attacks and type 2 diabetes in Singapore. A strong correlation was found - although data gathering for studies of this type are very difficult and this one relies too much on self reported data. I skimmed the paper early this morning .. fascianting stuff and clearly worthy of deeper study.
A good food tip is to make as much of your own food as possible and do it from healthy ingredients... It is certainly possible to make your own food as bad - or worse - from a nutrition point of view than fast food.
Tailgate Fatties are some of the most palate appealing, non fast foods that do-it-yourselfers are likely to make up on their own.
Oh, I forgot. You said healthy ingredients.
