passions

It is always impressive to see a kid working on his or her passion.

In the meantime a lot of kids seem to be looking for advantages in k12...  there is a lot of jostling for positions in elite schools - even at the middle school level and below... lots of people worry about getting their kid in the "right" kindergarten.

Somehow I think encouraging a passion in a teen is more important.
