cancer as a chronic ailment

An interesting piece on new approaches to dealing with cancer (mp3) - for some people it is a chronic ailment rather than a near term fatal disease.  


via CBC's excellent Quirks and Quarks - one of the best science new podcasts going.  Sign up for the podcast if you do that sort of thing.  Q&Qs is released on Saturday mornings and is one of the programs that gets me through rowing in the basement on the weekend.
