the weight of nations

Obesity.ong Current 2008 obesity figures (defined by BMI > 30.0 for residents over age 15) for several countries (source: Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).


Of course body mass index is a faulty measure, but a serious percentage of a population over 30 is probably meaningful.  The US has been number one for about two decades.
