This is *really* important stuff - we need to have hearings to see who did what when and what might have been proper. In the meantime one of the phone companies has rewritten its privacy statement. All of these things may or may not be factors in your communication and entertainment choices.
One of the primary tactics of the Bush Administration is to dismantle bureaucracy by planting ineffective administrators and slashing budgets. We saw what happened to FEMA dramatically. Of course it is probably unpatriotic to question anything about the Bush Administration - it helps the terrorists you know:-)
