The General has some interesting comments on the neoconservative approach to the problem.
Bush and his moral clarity - Orwellian indeed.
I'm very disturbed by this senseless war ... someone noted that Bush's decision to go into Iraq after 911 was equivalent to bombing Mexico after Pearl Harbor and that seems about right. The cost is much greater than the increase in gas prices that people complain about and the human tragedy on all sides is horrific.
It would be nice if there was an online "scrapbooking" project where friends and relatives of the fallen on all sides could place memorials - photos, stories, videos -- anything to show that these people are more than the simple names that run across TV screens. It is fascinating that even pronouncing their names can be powerful and is seem as unpatriotic by some.
