co2 model airplane engines

As a teenager I played with CO2 powered model airplanes. They were a neat extension of indoor aircraft and very light wind outdoor airplanes.

If you've never played with one, here is a quick primer on how they work. Searching around shows some gems from Gasparin -- the v-12 looks really interesting and the rotary 9 is probably amazing.

I would imagine some of the micro r/c folks use this sort of motor, although I've only seen electric models.
